Last month, Deputy Director Cameron Meyer Shorb gave a talk on wild animal welfare as part of Brown University’s Effective Altruism seminar. He illustrates the scale of wild animal suffering, examines his own biases about human participation in nature, and addresses the potential impact of research to improve wild animals’ lives.
