On behalf of the Wild Animal Initiative Board of Directors, I’m excited to announce that we have selected Cameron Meyer Shorb to serve as Executive Director.

When Michelle Graham made the decision in January to transition from Executive Director to a new role focused entirely on strategy, Cameron didn’t hesitate to step up to the Executive Director role in the interim. The initial plan was to begin a search for a permanent Executive Director while Cameron kept the organization on course. Over the last few months, Cameron and the board gained a lot of clarity regarding both the organization’s needs and Cameron’s abilities as a leader. After soliciting feedback from the staff as well, it became clear that in fact we already had the right person in place.

We’ve seen Cameron steer the organization toward ever greater impact, and we are confident that by selecting Cameron as the next Executive Director, we’re placing Wild Animal Initiative in good hands.
